Shane Tyree is one of Tchefuncta Country Club's Tennis Professionals. His dedication to the sport started while playing varsity tennis at Lake Howell High School in his hometown of Winter Park, FL. After playing college tennis at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Georgia, Shane transferred to the University of Florida, where he served as the volunteer assistant coach for the women’s team after graduation. During that time, Shane was also a teaching professional at DB Racquet club in Gainesville, FL. Prior to joining the Tchefuncta family, Shane served as the Head Tennis Pro at Stone Creek Health Club & Spa for nearly 10 years, where he was in charge of all USTA-related matters, tennis socials and club tournaments. Some of his accolades include USPTA Professional Level 3; Top 25 singles, FL, 18 & under; Top 10 Men's Open Singles, FL, 2007-2008; Top 3 Men's Open Doubles, FL, 2008; National High School Player of the Year, 2003; Seminole County Player of the Year & Central Florida Player of the Year, 2003. Shane currently resides in Covington with his beautiful children, seven-year-old Mia and five-year-old Oliver.
